Check the blog regularly for the latest recipes: Southern Food Blog Peach Shortcakes Basic sweetened scones make a great base for these easy shortcakes. Canned, fresh, or frozen peaches can be used to make the peach sauce for these shortcakes. Garnish with a sprinkling or grinding of cinnamon sugar along with the sweetened whipped cream or whipped topping. Chipotle Burgers A simple chipotle aioli makes these ordinary burgers extra-special. The aioli is made with mayonnaise, a few chipotle chile peppers in adobo, garlic, and a little lime juice. Feel free to add some chopped cilantro if you have it. Caramelized Onion Biscuits Chopped caramelized onions make these biscuits slightly sweet and moist, and they are delicious with a variety of spreads. Use an herb butter, a cream cheese spread, or a chutney or hot pepper jelly on the biscuits, or use them as sandwiches with slices of ham or chicken. Lemon Curd This homemade lemon curd is rich and delicious, and it's really quite easy to make with fresh lemons and only 3 other ingredients. Lemon curd is a wonderful spread for biscuits, scones, or muffins, and it makes a great cake or pastry filling.
