LASAGNA, TIRAMISU, & MORE NORTHERN ITALIAN CLASSICS... APRIL 2 IN NYC

Lasagna, Tiramisu & More Northern Italian Classics... April 2

Join us for an amazing evening of northern Italian food, cooking, and fun and learn to make a delicious Venetian menu on April 2 at 6 pm!

If you ever wanted to learn to make lasagna from scratch, or you are a lover of tiramisu, don't wait too long to sign up for this one time-only hands-on cooking class! In this brand new class devoted to the cooking of Venice, we'll learn to make five fabulous dishes... We'll begin our Venetian menu with a deeply flavored homemade lasagna layered with caramelized radicchio, Pancetta, and onions (I'll even show you a time-saving shortcut to homemade lasagna that you won't believe!). Slow-cooking chicken with brandy and aromatic vegetables yields succulent results; adding porcini mushrooms elevates this delectable main course to new heights. A creamy side of wine-braised fennel and slow-cooked, cheese-laced polenta is a lovely counterpoint to the chicken's rich flavors... and an elegant tiramisu flavored with chocolate and Amaretto tops off our Venetian feast in high style.

Menu, April 2:

  • Handmade Lasagna with Caramelized Radicchio, Onions, & Pancetta
  • Drunken Chicken with Brandy & Porcini Mushrooms
  • Braised Fennel with Thyme & White Wine
  • Creamy Polenta with Sage & Parmigiano
  • Amaretto & Chocolate Tiramisu

This hands-on cooking class lasts from 6PM to 9PM. The cost is $95 per person and includes a full dinner paired with wine. Be sure to sign up here before class sells out or call 917-602-1519.

And we are also very excited about our Cooking with Liqueurs Class on April 23 at 6pm... We'll learn to knead and roll out fresh pasta for the best tagliatelle in Vodka sauce; we'll roast filet mignon to perfection and serve it with a sophisticated green peppercorn-Cognac glaze; we'll flavor a creamy risotto with an aged grappa and aromatic spices, transforming a simple pot of rice into a memorable side dish; we'll toss warm asparagus with Limoncello; we'll bake a rich, decadent drunken chocolate cake (plenty of dark rum is the key here!); and to top off our liqueur-infused Italian feast, we'll spike our espresso with Amaretto and a secret ingredient we discovered on a recent trip to Puglia You can sign up here for our Cooking with Liqueurs Class.

And new on our web site this month: We've posted our complete online class calendar through June 2012 here.

For those of you looking for a great team-building activity this season, consider a private cooking party. Parties can be held in the daytime or evening and last 3 hours, and the cost is just $162 per person inclusive of gratuity. And the best part: you get to pick the menu you want, and you can add on a wine tasting if you are really into wine! We've even created a chocolate lover's dream event: a hands-on cooking class followed by dinner, a wine tasting, and a chocolate tasting... Call 917-602-1519 to inquire about availability for your private cooking event. Our corporate clients include A & E Television Network, Unilever, Google, Colgate Palmolive, Credit Suisse, Newsweek, Victoria's Secret, NBC, and many more... Click here for more on our clients and testimonials.

Here's what a client recently said about her team-building event at RUSTICO COOKING: "We truly had a fabulous time. Everyone loved the evening. I truly thought everything was perfect. I now personally understand why you are so successful. I will definitely do another event with you down the road. Thanks so much for your follow-up and great service throughout the process." Anna, Credit Suisse

We look forward to cooking with you soon!

Gingerbread Cupcakes With Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting
These delectable gingerbread cupcakes are wonderful with the included lemon cream cheese frosting, but feel free to top them with a vanilla cream cheese frosting, lemon glaze, or sweetened whipped cream. These make a great treat for a special occasion or event, or make them for a family treat.

This Free Kindle Ebook Will Probably Make Me $1 Million This Year...

Hi Southern,

Yesterday while surfing Facebook, I noticed a post
pointing out that you could get the Kindle Version
of the book "The Flinch," by Julien Smith, for free.

I clicked through, and saw a link to the free Kindle
ebook reader off on the right of the page, which allows
you to read these ebooks on your computer, iPhone, iPad,
etc.

I downloaded the PC version, which took all of three
minutes.

Then I downloaded the ebook, which the newly installed
Kindle reader, instantly saw.

You can grab that free Kindle ebook here:

http://timic.org/TheFlinch/

"The Flinch" helped me to understand something I learned
30 years ago, when I first started taking karate lessons.
I had to learn how not to flinch (or back away) when I saw
a punch coming at me. I had to learn how to not imagine
the pain of that possibly-connecting punch, as being worse
than it probably would be.

In my Shotokan Karate classes at NCSU, I learned to step
aside rather than back way, and how to move forward and
neutralize the threat.

In reading "The Flinch," I saw how with so many things that
we encounter in everyday life, we back away them from
because of the imagined pain... of changing habits or facing
things that we KNOW that we need to face.

That's why most of us stay in jobs that we hate, never
start exercise programs that we know that we need, never
change our diets, and never do 100 other things that we
know would improve our lives dramatically.

I actually read ALL 1391 pages of that ebook yesterday. It
resonated with me so much that I couldn't put it down. It
was 1391 pages in the Kindle format but I imagine the print
version is fewer pages.

The book not only explained to me why so many people ACCEPT
living a life-style that's less than they want, it also
explained to me EXACTLY how to change all of that... and so
I started immediately.

Since I have started eliminating things that will stop me
from achieving what I want to accomplish, I have no doubt
that that simple, free, Kindle ebook will end up earning
me an extra $1 million this year.

Yes, sometimes free things are worth a lot more than they
cost. Of course, you do have to USE what they offer, but
that's a given.

While I'm pointing out amazing free resources, let me share
with you a video that can COMPLETEY change your online business.

You see, most internet marketers put up several, or numerous
websites, with no real plan for how they are going to
grow them, or how they are going to build a business that
they can sell someday, and then perhaps semi-retire.

I recently did an interview/webinar with my friend Steve
Odette where we discussed this, and how to fix it.

We showed a model where you can have all of your efforts
building momentum off each other, and how to build a web
business that others (potential investors) will see as
having a real intrinsic value.

We demonstrated how you can build a business with a
built-in exit plan.

If you don't build a business with an exit plan, then you're
not building a business, you're just creating a job for
yourself.

Check out the video here where we explain how we are
building real businesses, and how you can easily copy
our model:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/MembershipSiteModel/index.html

We show how to do this on a website that's a membership
site, but you can use the same model for almost any
web-based business.

Check it out!

Business and success are more a matter of slowing down
and really paying attention, more-so than most people
realize.

Go ahead and watch that video now. It will radically
shift your perspective:

From Diana Rattray, your Guide to Southern Food
Happy Spring! This week, recipes include a tasty braised cabbage with bacon, Irish soda bread, delicious slow cooker chicken with chipotle sauce, butternut squash cupcakes, and more.

Sausage and Potato Soup With Kale
Use sweet Italian sausage or other fresh pork sausage in this flavorful potato soup. Feel free to use chopped chard leaves or spinach in this soup in place of the kale if that's what you have on hand. Serve this thick and hearty soup with crusty bread or rolls for a fabulous everyday family meal.

Cabbage With Leeks and Bacon
This cabbage and bacon combination is a tasty dish, and it makes an excellent side dish with ham, roast beef, or corned beef. This cabbage dish is quick and easy to prepare, has just five ingredients, and it cooks very quickly.

Sausage and Potato Coddle
This classic Shepherd's Pie, made with ground lamb and mashed potatoes, is a tasty version of a classic casserole. Serve with crusty rolls or bread and tossed salad for a hearty, delicious meal.

Irish Soda Bread
This delicious Irish soda bread is simple to prepare and bake, and it's a great bread to serve with any meal. It's especially good with a hearty stew or bean recipe. Or, use this bread in place of biscuits for breakfast. Drop an egg on top of a toasted slice of soda bread or serve with sausage gravy.
