TEN BEST PASTA SAUCES COOKING CLASS JUNE 29 IN NYC

Ten Best Pasta Sauces Cooking Class in NYC

Join us for our most popular cooking class and learn to make 10 brand new pasta sauces on June 29 at 6 pm!

This class sells out very quickly every time we offer it, so don't wait too long to reserve your spot! Is there any food that lends itself more to weeknight meals and impromptu dinners with friends than pasta? Pasta is not only healthy and versatile, it takes mere minutes to cook. But many of us have a limited repertoire of pasta sauces, relying on easy stand-bys like marinara sauce or ragu. In this informative and fun class, I'll unveil the secrets of cooking pasta (no spaghetti thrown on the wall to test for doneness, please!), then show you how to pair a variety of pasta shapes (some well known, others less so) with their ideal sauce. Next, we'll cook ten flavorful, authentic Italian pastas suited to everyday eating and simple entertaining, and enjoy them family-style with some fabulous white and red wines. The 10 pasta sauces you'll learn to make in this hands-on class are sure to change the way you cook and eat on a daily basis... They've become my absolute favorites over years of cooking, and they're sure to become favorites in your kitchen too.

Menu, June 29:

  • Spinach Linguine in Savory Leek Cream
  • Bucatini in Chili-Pancetta Sauce
  • Tuscan Penne in Walnut-Garlic Sauce
  • Orecchiette with Fresh Ricotta, Basil, and Diced Tomatoes
  • Fusilli in Spicy Fennel-Sausage Sauce
  • Campanelle with Spicy Broccoli & Pecorino
  • Mom's Rigatoni Gratin with Gorgonzola Cream
  • Pappardelle in Fragrant Basil Pesto
  • Cavatelli with Tuna Sicilian-Style
  • Spaghetti with Shrimp, Asparagus, and Saffron

This hands-on cooking class lasts from 6PM to 9PM. The cost is $110 per person and includes a full dinner with wine. Be sure to sign up here before class sells out or call 917-602-1519.

And we are also very excited about our Essentials of Tuscan Cooking class on July 7 at 12 pm... Our Tuscan summer menu features ripe tomatoes, fresh herbs, creamy Ricotta, homemade pasta, and tender chicken, cooked in true Tuscan form and served with three fabulous wines. We'll begin our Tuscan taste journey by stuffing fresh pasta with creamy Ricotta and spinach, making agnolotti (round ravioli) that are the very essence of summer tossed with a vibrant, light tomato sauce. Our main course combines tender chicken morsels with slow-cooked onions, just right served alongside braised beans with garlic and rosemary. And for dessert, we'll whip up a cooling berry semifreddo spiked with plenty of Limoncello (easier to make than gelato, but just as impressive!). You can sign up here for our Essentials of Tuscan Cooking Class.

We've also posted our complete online class calendar through August 2012 here.

For those of you planning a team-building activity or important celebration this season, consider a private cooking party. Parties can be held in the daytime or evening and last 3 hours, and the cost is just $162 per person inclusive of gratuity. And the best part: you get to pick the menu you want, and you can add on a wine tasting if you are really into wine! We've even created a chocolate lover's dream event: a hands-on cooking class followed by dinner, a wine tasting, and a chocolate tasting... Call 917-602-1519 to inquire about availability for your private cooking event. Our corporate clients include A & E Television Network, Unilever, Google, Colgate Palmolive, Credit Suisse, Newsweek, Victoria's Secret, NBC, and many more... Click here for more on our clients and testimonials.

Here's what a client recently said about her company's team-building event at RUSTICO COOKING: "I wanted to express my sincere thanks and kudos on a job well done! Our event last week was executed perfectly and went off without a hitch. I think folks had a lot of fun, learned some new tricks in the kitchen, became more educated on wine and most importantly our goal of team building was met. Thank you also for making sure my guests with special dietary needs had accommodations. I had no doubt it would be a wonderful evening based on my past experience with Rustico and look forward to working together again in the future." Chrystal A., NPD

We look forward to cooking with you soon!
