This week, the focus is on recipes for entertaining. Recipes include chicken wings, a game day chili recipe, chicken chili, meatballs, and more.

Sesame Chicken Wings
These great tasting sesame chicken wings are marinated with garlic, green onions, sesame seeds, soy sauce, and other ingredients. Garnish these tasty wings with sesame seeds or sliced green onions and serve with a mustard dip or sweet and sour sauce.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Even with no milk or butter, these garlic mashed potatoes are creamy and delicious. They're made with garlic and olive oil, along with other seasonings. Red-skinned potatoes give them nice texture, but feel free to use fingerling or round white potatoes.

Hearty Chicken Chili and Super Bowl Recipes
Here's a flavorful and hearty white bean and chicken chili. This easy chili is made with diced cooked chicken, white beans, chopped vegetables, cheese, and a little sour cream. Garnish this tasty chili with some chopped cilantro and shredded cheese and serve it with freshly baked cornbread and sliced tomatoes.

African-American art & photography
Acclaimed Gullah artist Jonathan Green has captured traditions and stories of African history with brushstrokes, painting the visions etched in his memory. His bold paintings, along with he and his studio director's astonishing collection of art, are part of Gibbes Museum's exhibition Vibrant Vision: The Collection of Jonathan Green and Richard Weedman. Also on display is Witness to History: Civil Rights Era Photographs by James Karales.

A step back in time
Discover what life was like around 1900 when you step onto the grounds of the Benjamin E. Mays Preservation Site in Greenwood. The late Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, a son of former slaves, became an astute educator, scholar and minister. The influential civil rights leader is considered Greenwood's most distinguished son. Learn about his life when you tour his birth home, the site's museum and one-room school.

A bench by the road
It's not just a bench, but it is a monument erected in memory of thousands of slaves brought through Sullivan's Island, the entry point for thousands of captive Africans. Located on the grounds of the Fort Moultrie Visitor Center, the bench is part of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison's Bench by the Road project. The steel bench overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway. Come sit for a spell.

Wine & Food Festival
It's where food and wine meet Lowcountry culture and history – the BB&T Charleston Wine + Food Festival. The nationally-acclaimed food and wine festival is Feb. 28-March 3.
