Big tastes in South Carolina's small towns
In South Carolina, you'll find fine dining in the most unexpected places! The Mill Pond Steakhouse is tucked in the rural crossroads community of Boykin. Abingdon Manor, a AAA Four-Diamond restaurant and inn, sits quietly in Latta, SC. The Old Edgefield Grill in historic Edgefield offers fine Southern foods in a casual-elegant atmosphere. Hamptons in downtown Sumter showcases regional cuisine with international flavor, while Delamater's and Steven W's bring big city cuisine to charming Newberry.

Facebook followers' favorite fine dining spots
Everyone has a favorite place to stay and play or wine and dine when they visit the Palmetto State. We asked our Facebook followers to share their favorites and the results are in! Here are a few fine spots our Facebook fans love for both ambiance and cuisine. In West Columbia, they chose Terra and Al's Upstairs. Rivertown Bistro and Bistro 217 made the list for the Grand Strand, while 82 Queen, Husk and Cypress won out in Charleston. And on Hilton Head Island, Old Fort Pub won the day. But don't take their word for it - come taste for yourself!

Chef Craig Deihl is James Beard Finalist
Chef Craig Deihl of Cypress in Charleston is the only South Carolina chef still in the running for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef: Southeast award. If Deihl wins, he'll be the fourth consecutive Charleston chef to earn the award. Sean Brock of McCrady's and Husk won in 2010, Mike Lata of FIG in 2009 and Robert Stehling of Hominy Grill in 2008. Winners will be announced at the 2011 James Beard Foundation Awards Ceremony in New York City May 9.

The Woodlands: Fine dining and accommodations made affordable!
To celebrate its Travel + Leisure rating as "World's Best Hotel Value," The Woodlands - South Carolina's only Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond property for dining and lodging - is offering a special $91.77 nightly rate. Be sure to try The Dining Room at Woodlands Inn for an exceptional culinary experience.

Let's go Spoleto!
The internationally renowned Spoleto Festival USA will energize historic Charleston May 27 through June 12. With more than 120 performances and 150 events from visual arts exhibits to classical music, poetry readings to children's activities and more, Spoleto is a spectacle not to be missed.
