I have a note taped to my desk: make clothes you love and have always loved. There are so many places to pull inspiration from — my mom's closet, vintage catalogs, old photos, the people I see in Maine every day. But that note is what I always come back to. Living in Maine has also shaped how I think about clothing. There's a particular style here that is understated, personal, and practical. From downtown Portland to the quiet stretch of coast where I live you see natural fabrics that age well, silhouettes that feel easy, pieces that get better over time. Most days, I'm deep in day to day work like fixing a glitch on the website, deciding which photos make it onto a product page, answering a customer service question, planning next month's email calendar, figuring out what's launching and when, etc. But the part that really guides what we make comes from memory, observation, and a lot of paying attention. I'm not trying to reinvent fashion. I'm trying to make clothes that feel like home. That work with your life instead of complicating it. That make you feel like the best version of yourself. Clothes that are easy, comfortable, and beautiful. I spend a lot of time thinking about fit. Like, a lot of time. Getting it right from XS to 4X isn't just about scaling a pattern — it's about understanding how clothes feel on different bodies. How they drape, where they hit, how they move. Every size deserves that level of attention and consistency. The longer I do this, the more I realize it's about the small decisions that compound over time. The weight of a fabric. The shape of a neckline. The way a pocket lands when you stand still. These aren't details that announce themselves but they're what make something feel special. I'm lucky I get to do this and share it with you. If you'd like to look at our newest arrivals you can find them here.
