I am really excited for today's email - it's our first time ever doing a Good News update, something I have really wanted to try for a while now!
You see, I think in a world where we are so inundated with news that is honestly a bit anxiety-inducing, I really felt like refocusing on the good things going on will help us all shift our perspective.
Earlier this week, I made a post on our ZOXVIP Facebook group asking for folks to share their good news with me so that I could share it here with everyone. The results were so incredible, as were all the comments from others celebrating these wins. Alright, on to the main event. Here's all the Good News for the first week of 2025:
Shannon: Celebrating a big win as her kids had a smooth start to the New Year back at school. 🎉
Shaune: Spent a joyful day reconnecting with a loved one. 💕
Amy: Her teen heroically recovered from major spine surgery and managed two long road trips soon after. Incredible, thank you for sharing the photos! 💪
Jaxxon: Proudly "read" 98 audiobooks in 2024, overcoming ADHD challenges. Aiming to double that in 2025! 📚
Landon: Graduated with a Master's degree, the first in his family, and started a meaningful job at the same college where his journey began. Congratulations! 🎓
Robin: Moved closer to family after years of long-distance trips, making this holiday season extra special. 🏡
Brandy: Witnessed her brother's miraculous recovery from multiple strokes and a severe heart condition. He's now walking and headed home! 🙌
April: Lost 52 lbs since August 2024 and is feeling fantastic! So happy for you April!🏋️♀️
Melissa: Finally secured in-home therapy for her daughter after months of effort. 🧡
Nikki: Had her first photo published on January 1st, 2025 - an exciting milestone! 📸
Teresa: Her son, Amir, completed vet school and is now a DVM. What an wonderful accomplishment! 🐾
Lori: Rediscovered self-love after a 24-year relationship. Cheers to a promising 2025! 💕
Deb: Managed a roadside emergency with calm and confidence using some of my favorite reminders. 🚘
Jason: Closed on a new rental property to provide stable homes for three families. 🏠
Genevieve: Led the approval of a groundbreaking cancer drug, improving survival rates for kids with neuroblastoma. Absolutely incredible news!!🌟
Heather: Her son graduated college in 3.5 years and landed his dream job! 🎓
Kathryn: Received the wonderful news that her biopsy was cancer-free. So happy to hear this!🩺
Yarisel: Married the love of her life last December. 🥰
Judy: Skydived at 72, wearing a ZOX band, and felt connected to loved ones above. ✈️
Jone: After being on life support in 2023, she can now stand and walk with minimal help from her walker - a remarkable improvement! 🥳
Rowan: Excited about the forecasted snow, hoping for a magical blanket of white this winter! ❄️
Sarah: Turning 40 tomorrow and ready to celebrate this milestone! 🎉
Debbie: Her son-in-law reached the incredible 5-year mark of being cancer-free - a huge victory! 🎗️
Sara: Her partner learned to walk unassisted with a prosthetic leg after a life-changing injury. 💪
Amanda: Achieved a lifelong dream of buying her dream vehicle and celebrated health recoveries for both her and her mom. 🚗
Priscilla: Found out she'll become a great-grandma in June! 👶
Leah: Celebrating her baby boy's 1st birthday. 🎂
Wendy: Went on a Panama Canal cruise with her mom, aunt, and uncle - a trip of a lifetime! 🛳️
Marni: Welcomed her first granddaughter, saw her late father's artwork in Paris, and experienced the Northern Lights in Iceland. 🌌
Lindsey: Her husband was promoted to Major after years of dedication. Thank him for his service for us!🎖️
Victoria: Grateful for her husband's admission to a veteran's care home, ensuring excellent care in his ALS journey. Big, big hugs to your family Victoria! 💙
Petra: Living with secondary breast cancer but grateful to start another year strong. 💕
Halie: Celebrated six months of self-harm recovery, marking her first December in 18 years without it. 🥳
Melissa: Finally experiencing relief from pain and fatigue after a decade of misdiagnosis. 🌿
Sandy: Received a thoughtful gift from a fellow ZOXER that brightened her week! 🎁
Michelle: Launched a photography business offering sessions for families in need. 📷
As I read through all this week's stories, I couldn't help but feel like there's something to this movement - this idea that focusing on the positive can change our perspective to such a major extent that it can actually change our lives. How incredible is that - to realize that just changing the way we think can actually improve how we feel?
In my own life, I've found this to be so incredibly true - I feel better when I take back my thoughts. When I replace all the things I'm worried about with all I have to be thankful for.
