I'm Kane Shieh, and I’m thrilled to have you here as part of this journey with me. Since this is your first email from me, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and give you a taste of what you can expect going forward.

My Background
I’ve spent the majority of my career in the financial world as Vice President and Portfolio Manager at PIMCO, managing $1.7 trillion in assets and trading up to $200 billion daily.
I had the honor of working alongside some of the brightest minds in finance, including Bill Gross and Mohammed El-Erian.
But the moment that really defined my career?
Navigating the chaos of the 2008 financial crisis while trading commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) — right in the heart of the meltdown.
After leaving PIMCO, I stepped away from capital markets for a while, but I quickly realized that trading was in my blood — there’s nothing quite like the thrill of putting yourself against the markets and coming out on top.
I actually met Roger Scott after attending one of his algo classes, and I asked him if I should open my own hedge fund. He showed me the downside of that. After thinking about it a bit more, I approached Roger about joining the team here at The TradingPub.
So here I am today, focused on trading my own money and sharing what I’ve learned with retail traders just like you.
