No Help from Bonds or Dollar: Why Caution Is Crucial Right Now

JOIN US HERE! _________________________________________________   No Help from Bonds or Dollar: Why Caution Is Crucial Right Now  Stocks are down a bit but action is largely random, and the big key for me today is to see if we can get above Monday’s high.  And $549 is that level in the S&P 500 (SPY), which has acted as major resistance.  The bond market (TLT) has also been falling after running into resistance, so we need to be very cautious today. Volatility is falling, but TLT is still trading within the same zone it’s been stuck in, and we need it to rise above resistance.  No one is buying the U.S. dollar, which is not good because the dollar and bond market aren’t giving us anything to help out stocks. If we see TLT continue to cool off, the stock market is going to be under major pressure.   We have Retail Sales coming at 8:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, which is the biggest report of the week, and I expect this to be a good report.
