| | | | | Q: What's the most common knife sharpening mistake people make at home? | | | | | | | | | | Using the wrong angle when sharpening their knives. Sometimes, the previous sharpening is so bad, that we have to completely reprofile the knife! | | | | | Using a pull-through sharpener. This is just a giant NO-NO! They never work and ruin the knife more than sharpening it over time. | | | | | Not using a cutting board. You're just dulling that edge with every chop. | | | | | | | | | |

| | | | | Q: What's the most unusual knife you've ever worked on? | | | | | A: The most unusual knife I ever sharpened was probably a gravity knife. I've only gotten one so far. Beautiful knife. Super fun and fidgety. I mean, the actual blade was smaller than a pen cap! It was nuts to sharpen, but quite fun and challenging! | | | | | | |

| | | | | Q: What's your top tip for keeping knives sharper for longer? | | | | | A: Learn how to hone your knife! Before and after use will help keep that edge straight. After using your knife, that fine edge will eventually "roll over". You can't see it with the naked eye, but you will probably feel a slight difference after some heavy chopping. Honing your knife will keep that edge straight and make using your knife fun again! | | | | | | |
