These are not criminals; these are patriots, and they have been wrongfully labeled as insurrectionists by a system determined to vilify dissent. From the very beginning, the imprisonment of peaceful participants in the January 6th events was an affront to American justice. This was no insurrection; it was a passionate display of concern for the integrity of our democratic process. These Americans were exercising their First Amendment rights, expressing their grievances against what many believed was a flawed electoral process. Yet, they were met not with understanding but with handcuffs, cages, and years behind bars for what should've been treated as civil disobedience at worst...
