"With an April beach trip ahead—paired with an intense longing for prolonged exposure to Vitamin D—swimwear has been at the top of my mind in recent days."
| | | | | | Every Swimsuit I Have My Eye On Right Now | North America is finally beginning to thaw, which means swimsuit season is so close I can almost touch it. With an April beach trip ahead—paired with an intense longing for prolonged exposure to Vitamin D—swimwear has been at the top of my mind in recent days. I tend to be picky about bathing suits, though. I'm not the type of person who has a million mix-and-match tops and bottoms in my bottom dresser drawer. I have a few tried-and-true favorites that I swear by based on fit, style, and most importantly for me, comfort. And this season, I have my eye on a few new suits; here are my favorites, and the ones I can't wait to try out: - I kept seeing ads for Andie all over my Instagram. They got me—I ordered a buyer-favorite, the Amalfi, last summer. And I'm glad I did, because the fabric of this one-piece fits like a glove, giving that second-skin feeling without any uncomfortable tightness in the straps. It's also just a classic shape—I have it in black because a simple black one-piece is a staple in my summer wardrobe (and this one doubles seamlessly as a bodysuit).
- My go-to bikini is the French bikini top & hipster bottom from J. Crew. I've had it for over five years and I wear it all summer long, and it still looks almost as good as new. It holds elasticity well, the color is still very vibrant, it's comfortable in and out of the water, and it's great for getting an even tan.
- Right now, I have my eye on a Left on Friday suit. The brand was started by a couple of Lululemon alumni, and they put an emphasis on classic, comfortable styles made to transition seamlessly from activewear to swimwear. The colors are amazing and mix and match really nicely— I'm obsessed with "Aperol" for summertime.
- A few of my friends continue to recommend Monday swimwear. The brand's founders are all about body positivity, which continues to be refreshing in a market saturated with absurd beauty standards.
- I've had two Vitamin A bikinis in my shopping cart for...too long. This brand features sustainably-produced pieces and easy-breezy beachwear that looks like it would be ideal (i.e. packable staple pieces) for warm-weather travel.
Maybe you're searching for your next favorite one-piece, or maybe you just want a few versatile bikini styles and trendy colors to bring on spring break.
