I'm hanging out at the 38,000 square foot mansion where
my mastermind group is meeting until later tonight.
During these mastermind meetings, I am the internet
marketing expert in the crowd... the others come from
a variety of disciplines like real estate, high-ticket
coaching, medical, retail businesses, etc.
Having been in internet marketing since 1996, and
having studied direct response marketing for over
30 years, I really AM the group's IM expert.

will cover the MOST-effective internet marketing tactics
today.

already have very nice websites, in on a shocker... even
with that "pretty" website, as high as 95% of your
prospective customers can't even order from you.
In fact, MOST aren't even seeing your website or your
email communications.
Let me explain…
As someone who has been doing internet and emails
marketing for 15 years, one of the biggest changes,
that I've noticed, is that email open rates are at an
all-time low. Some folks who track this as closely as
I do, report OPEN rates as low as under 5%.
That means that if you have an email list of say…
20,000 then there's a good chance that only
1,000 of those subscribers even open your email. No
wonder email responses are down so much!
A bigger problem is that, depending upon your niche,
as high as 85% of your ideal customers are never even
on the internet via a computer.
FIVE times as many people currently access the net
via a smart device (iPhone, Android, iPad, or HTML5
compatible smart devices).
That means that unless your marketing is designed
to also reach mobile users, you're probably IGNORING
most of your potential customers.
I personally can't afford to do that. One of my best
sellers is a cookbook, and 90% of my sales this year
will occur between November 1st, and January 1st.
Those sales will be to people looking for traditional
holiday recipes, and for gifts suitable for anyone.
I know that my sales are seasonal, and that I have to
be very proactive in getting my customers' attention.
What I've done is have "an app" developed.
This app is downloaded to potential customers smart
phones or tablets, and from there they can:
- Visit my website
- Read my blog
- Visit my Facebook profile
- Visit my LinkedIn profile
- Visit my Twitter profile
- Listen to my podcasts
- Tune in to my YouTube channel
- Order my cookbook right within the app
- Share photos of dishes they have cooked
- Subscribe to my newsletter
- Share the app with friend
- and do a dozen other things
Here's the BIG SECRET… or hard lesson, I learned when
having my app developed….
It fairly easy getting it into all of the app stores
EXCEPT for iTunes.
Apple is fairly picky and they like apps that take
advantage of native iPhone capabilities…
- Apps that give GPS guidance to a business address
- Apps that allow 1-touch phone calls
- Apps that allow customers to make reservations
from right within the app
- Apps with built-in calculators (tip calculators,
mortgage calculators, calorie calculators, etc.)
Basically, Apple only wants to feature items in the
iTunes store that people are going to use more than
once… which makes sense.
Fortunately, I've put about 200 hours into researching
and TESTING what works in getting a great app designed,
created, approved, and then into the hands of a lot of
users.
THIS is one way that I'll emphasize internet marketers
need to be interacting with their customers more, when
I give my presentation on later today.
When most Americans leave their house… they grab their
wallets (or purses), car keys, and phones.
If they forget their smart phones, many of them WILL
turn around and go back to get it.
That means this is how they stay connected… and when
the get a text message, most read and respond to it
right away.
That's another capability built into my app. I can
not only build a subscriber list within the app…
I can also push an unlimited number of messages
directly to all of my subscribers.
As you can probably tell… I'm LOVING my app.
You probably also think that it's fairly expensive
to get a custom app developed.

costs aren't actually THAT high, but since most business
