| | Skillet Dinners Are Going to Save Me This School Year | | | I'm going to let you in on a little something I'm embarrassed to admit: I am kind of freaking out about the new school year. Kind of? I'm freaking out a lot. After months of remote learning and remote working at home we're going to be going outside. Every day! To a specific location! And we'll have to arrive on time! It's going to be a shock. A lot of you have already started doing this and you probably feel me. So. We've been talking a lot about how to get our proverbial s*** together, especially when it comes to eating. Let's talk lunch! We've compiled a list of EZ lunch ideas even your kids can make. And we've got lists of the best lunch containers and coolest lunch boxes for kids and adults (because we parents deserve cool lunch boxes, too!). I live and die by sheet pan and skillet dinners. So here's a hot batch of stovetop dinners that go far beyond your standard stir fry. But sometimes I simply can't even with dinner. So that's why I'm checking out all of the meal kit services. We've got reviews for Hello Fresh, Home Fresh, Blue Apron, Snap Kitchen, just for starters—with more to come. I've bookmarked this advice on organizing the kind of streamlined, minimalist kitchen I need right now. Fun weekend project—Not. But I gotta do it anyway. We can do this. I'm just trying to keep breathing. And when I feel anxious, I tell myself, "I'm excited. I'm so excited!" Because as far as my body is concerned, it's nearly the same sensation. Good luck out there! May we all have a solid start to the new school year. | | | | | | | | | The Spruce Eats on YouTube | | | | | | | | | | | | Follow us: | You are receiving this newsletter because you subscribed to The Spruce Eats newsletter.
