Santos expulsion resolution expected on House floor The House will reconvene with a jam-packed agenda one week after electing Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) as Speaker, including an expected vote Wednesday night on whether to expel Rep. George Santos (R-N.Y.).

Santos, the embattled freshman lawmaker, faces 23 federal charges from an initial indictment and superseding indictment. He's pleaded not guilty to all charges. (A refresher on the charges can be found here.)

Earlier this year, a majority of the chamber voted to refer a Democratic-led expulsion resolution against Santos to the House Ethics Committee instead of voting on the resolution. The Ethics Committee said this week it'll announce its next steps by Nov. 17.
