15 Minutes to a Cleaner Bedroom
Welcome to Day 5!

Mélanie Berliet, General Manager
At the end of a long day, we all want a bedroom where we can relax and recharge. Keeping your bedroom clean and tidy is perhaps the best way to ensure a restful night's sleep—clutter and mess can actually add to stress and restless nights.

A daily, 15-minute bedroom cleanup isn't too difficult, especially if you focus on the cleaning tasks that will have the biggest impact. Incorporate this simple process into your before-bedtime routine, or do it in the morning right when you wake up to make your bedroom the oasis it should be.

Tip
Gather Clothing & Other Items
Gather all the dirty clothing and put it in a hamper. Don't worry about sorting—you can do that whenever you do your laundry.

Collect all your clean clothes and re-fold them or hang them up. If you have a lot of clean clothing strewn around the bedroom, leave this step for later and just place them out of the way for now.

Collect any trash and put it in the trash can. Decide whether you're ready to throw out old copies of magazines and throw away obvious trash; now isn't the time to do a big trash sweep.

Pick up any items that belong in another room that are sitting on your dresser, side table, desk, floor, etc. Put these items in a box or bag, and move them outside of your bedroom, to be put away later.

Tidy Your Bed & Surfaces
Make your bed. This can have a big impact on the appearance of your room, and instantly makes it look cleaner and tidier.

Tidy up your surfaces, and neatly arrange the items you keep on your dresser and bedside table. Wipe down surfaces, mirrors, and any wall hangings with a microfiber cloth or duster.

Final Steps
Sweep, mop, or vacuum your floor. Don't bother moving around any furniture—just vacuum what you can reach, and do a deeper clean when you have more time.
