Three dividend-paying investments serve as proxies to Bitcoin amid a price drop that provides a discount from recent highs after the Trump administration ushered in policies last month to enhance interest in the cryptocurrency.

Once President Trump won election in November 2024, the price of Bitcoin surged from roughly $70,000 to above $123,000 before dipping to $113,315.41 on Friday, Aug. 1. The ascent has not been steady, and the latest price drop could turn into a timely buying opportunity in the days and weeks ahead for those willing to tolerate the typical volatility with cryptocurrencies.

Relaxed regulation of cryptocurrency supported by President Trump has been accompanied by increasingly crypto-friendly voting in both Congress, too. The latest example last week's passage of the GENIUS Act, which set up regulatory norms for the crypto space and solidifies a connection between crypto and the dollar with requirements for backing with U.S. treasury bills, according to the TNT Trader advisory service.

Three Dividend-paying Investments Serve as Proxies to Bitcoin: Economic Outlook

"Overall, the health of the economy is good, and we are moving back into an interesting earnings season, where analysts are wondering if we are going to see increased numbers due to AI implementation," according to Mark Skousen, PhD, in the latest issue of his TNT Trader advisory service that recommends both stocks and related options. "We will be keeping an eye on this as most of our portfolio will announce earnings in the coming weeks."

Bitcoin traded above $123,000 into record high territory at its peak point on Monday, July 14, following inflows to the cryptocurrencies exchange-traded funds (ETFs). That is good for TNT Trader subscribers, since the advisory service had recommended Bitcoin and it has soared 201% since then.

Aside from the opportunity offered in Bitcoin, Solana is another cryptocurrency to consider, according to the TNT Trader. Solana recently topped $200 and is recommended as a TNT Trader buy.

Despite the cryptocurrency ups and downs, the price target for both Bitcoin and Solana is much higher, so buy or hold onto it, advised TNT Trader, which also co-led by cryptocurrency-focused Tim Skousen, the son of Mark Skousen. The elder Skousen also has led the Forecasts & Strategies investment newsletter for more than four decades.

Three Dividend-paying Investments Serve as Proxies to Bitcoin: Strategy

Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR), a Tysons Corner, Virginia-based company that changed its name from MicroStrategy on Feb. 5, has been amassing Bitcoin as a key part of its Treasury holdings under the leadership of its Chairman Michael Saylor. He is an avowed advocate of Bitcoin.

Saylor does not just talk a good game about cryptocurrencies; he backs it up by putting his company's cash reserves behind what he says. In Strategy's fiscal year second-quarter earnings release, the company announced it had amassed 628,791 BTC, into early July 2025, or roughly 3% of Bitcoin's total fixed supply, valued well beyond initial acquisition marks.

One Feb. 24, Strategy owned 499,096 Bitcoins. Saylor has said that the average purchase price is $62,473 per bitcoin with a total cost of $27.95 billion. In less than six months, Strategy has increased its Bitcoin holdings by 25.986%.

Strategy ranks as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin and the world's first Bitcoin Treasury Company. In announcing financial results for the three-month period ended June 30, 2025, also the second quarter of the company's 2025 fiscal year, it reported huge gains.

"That's some serious coin, and it demonstrates just how aggressive, and how much Saylor believes in this new paradigm," wrote Jim Woods, who heads the Crypto and Commodities Trader advisory service and the Investing Edge investment newsletter. "If Saylor is right, and I think he is, Bitcoin will continue to climb, and it will also likely become a sanctioned asset class soon bought directly by the United States Treasury."

The Real Reason Trump Delayed His "Independence Day" Tariffs

Did you know there is a secret government oversight group assigned to watch over the U.S. economy and markets? It was created 37 years ago by President Reagan. And it is the real reason President Trump delayed his Independence Day tariffs?

It sounds like a conspiracy theory, I know, but it's not. You can judge for yourself by watching this interview.

Three Dividend-paying Investments Serve as Proxies to Bitcoin: CEO Update

In the fiscal second quarter and into July, Strategy delivered "exceptional execution and growth," said its President and Chief Executive Officer Phong Le. While raising the company's Bitcoin holdings to 628,791 BTC, it also grew institutional and retail demand for its securities.

STRC, a short duration, high yield credit instrument, began Strategy's largest initial public offering (IPO), demonstrating how the company seeks to "amplify" our Bitcoin holdings through leverage. Its overall capital raising activities have resulted in its Bitcoin per Share ("BPS") increasing by 25% year-to-date, while raising full-year BTC Yield and BTC $ Gain KPI targets to 30% and $20 billion, respectively.

"These achievements underscore the scale of our Bitcoin treasury strategy and the strength of our capital markets platform," Le said.

The company published a capital markets framework, providing a clear structure for how to raise capital to increase its Bitcoin balance sheet and grow long-term shareholder value, Le added.

"Strategy has achieved a year-to-date BTC Yield of 25%, meeting our full year target well ahead of our initial timeline," Le continued. "As a result, our BTC $ Gain now exceeds $13 billion, and the increase in the price of bitcoin in the second quarter drove second-quarter operating income of $14 billion and Q2 diluted EPS of $32.60. These financial results, built upon the scale and performance of our Bitcoin balance sheet, are at all-time highs for the company and rank among the most successful quarterly results across the largest public companies in the world."

"In addition, we are announcing FY2025 guidance for Operating Income of $34 billion, Net Income of $24 billion, and Diluted EPS of $80 per share, based on a BTC price outlook of $150,000 at the end of the year," said Andrew Kang, Strategy's chief financial officer.

Three Dividend-paying Investments Serve as Proxies to Bitcoin: BPI

Grayscale Bitcoin Premium Income (BPI) is another proxy for Bitcoin investing. BPI will not invest in digital assets directly, nor will the fund invest in initial coin offerings. However, BPI will have indirect exposure to digital assets by virtue of its investments in derivatives on exchange-traded vehicles, such as exchange-traded products (ETPs) that hold digital assets as investments.

Because the fund will not invest directly in any digital assets, it may not track price movements of any digital assets. It does offer a defined dividend yield (TTM) of 3.34% and an annual payout of $1.50.  It is up 18.10% so far this year.

It differs from its better-known sister fund, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC), an open-ended trust also launched and managed by the world's biggest crypto asset manager, Grayscale Investments, LLC, GBTC offers access to Bitcoin.

GBTC tracks the performance of the TradeBlock XBX Index. As for trading liquidity, GBTC dominates other Bitcoin-focused funds and exchange-traded products (ETPs).

I recommended GBTC for the 2024 MoneyShow special report in late 2023. It doubled during 2024 to finish as the second-best-performing investment suggested by any of the more than 40 market forecasters who contributed their top ideas to the special report. GBTC rose 137.3% during 2024, following a rise of 317.61% in 2023. It is up 19.08% so far in 2025.

A key reason to like Bitcoin is that it is gaining regulatory and White House support during the Trump administration. Upon its launch in 2009, the total supply was planned to be limited to no more than 21 million coins. That cap avoids potential inflation of Bitcoin that remains as relevant now as it did then.

5 BIG opportunities ahead

While headlines scream about market volatility, VantagePoint A.I. quietly identified 5 American A.I. companies positioned to capture $631 billion in the artificial intelligence boom. CoreWeave's $25.9 billion revenue backlog signals massive institutional demand building behind closed doors.

Three dividend-paying Bitcoin Investments to Purchase Amid a Price Pullback: BLOK

Investors may want to buy shares in equities that are tied to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, blockchain technology or both. One speculative recommendation that adds alpha to the Forecasts & Strategies newsletter portfolio is Amplify Transformational Data Fund (NYSEArca: BLOK). The fund invests in crypto and blockchain technology.

BLOK invests in companies that finance cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. TNT Trader notched an average 120.54% gain in BLOK late in 2024 by buying call options in the fund and selling them in three different segments. The exposure to blockchain technology helps the fund diversify beyond a pure play in Bitcoin.

Another investment professional with a crypto portfolio is Bryan Perry, who recommends the investments in his Micro-Cap Stock Trader advisory service. He expressed optimism for cryptocurrencies to bounce back this year after this week's pullback.

Three dividend-paying Bitcoin Investments to Purchase Amid a Price Pullback: Summary

The dividend-paying Bitcoin investments are well worth considering amid price pullbacks. Investors who are interested in equities that have gone on sale at discounted prices may be willing to buy now or after they stop sliding, especially with geopolitical high as wars rage around the world.

Sincerely,
