Happy (early) Earth Day from the Knife Aid team

Hi there, With Earth Day coming up later this month, we wanted to reach out to thank you personally for doing your part. Every knife that we sharpen or repair here at Knife Aid is one knife less that would otherwise go into landfill. When Knife Aid started, one of the motivating factors was to create a business that helps customers preserve and care for what they've got. Yes, we all love a shiny new knife, and there are still a few on our own wishlist, but we also want to keep and enjoy the trusted workhorses, the hand-me-downs from Grandma, and the ones that we picked up on a trip to Italy all those years ago. We are now in our seventh year (hello, customers of the first hour, we see you!), and going out into the workshop to see our team of sharpeners work their magic on a knife that just about avoided the trash pile, is still one of the most satisfying moments of our job. It never gets old. So, thank you. Thank you for letting us show your knives the TLC they deserve. And thank you for helping protect our beautiful planet.
