Primal diet fights deadly cancer

Reader,

Today, we live in an age where blood sugar spikes are caused by carbohydrate-heavy fake food products.

This unnatural and constant assault on your body dramatically raises your risk of developing a chronic illness.

You see, since we swapped the fat-based meals of our grandparents' generation for Big Agra's starchy cereals and carb-packed "health foods," we didn't become healthier at all…

We got sick.

It's no coincidence that the unchecked rise of Big Food and Big Agra power has gone hand in hand with the explosion of modern diseases.

Big Agra's cheap grains and toxins have polluted almost every part of our food supply. This pollution includes everything from grain-fed cattle and poultry to a simple vegetable and every packaged meal on every grocery store shelf – and has led us straight to the epidemic of chronic diseases we face today.

I'm talking about conditions like:

  • Heart disease
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • Alzheimer's
  • Leaky gut
  • Irritable bowel syndrome

Now we're seeing the number of pancreatic cancer cases rise to an all-time high as a direct result of our typical insulin-spiking, inflammatory American diet.1

This is serious. Almost 65,000 Americans were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year, and the rate has been increasing every year for the past half-century.

And the five-year survival rate for this dreadful disease is less than 10%. This year alone, pancreatic cancer will kill about 50,000 people in the U.S.

Researchers at the University of British Columbia have now found a direct link between high insulin levels and pancreatic cancer.

The study, published in Cell Metabolism, also provides the first detailed explanation of why people with obesity and type 2 diabetes are at an increased risk of pancreatic cancer.2

The researchers showed that high insulin levels overstimulate pancreatic acinar cells, whose function is to produce digestive juices. But when acinar cells are overstimulated over long periods, it leads to inflammation that then converts them into pre-cancerous cells.

The good news is that you don't have to live with high insulin levels or a constant battle with your weight. You can also dramatically reduce the risk of pancreatic cancer, as well as other forms of cancer at the same time, by adopting a low (or zero) carb Primal diet.3,4,5

It's similar to the keto diet…but there's a few important differences.

Keto is already well known for helping people with weight loss and curbing type 2 diabetes. Versions of it can be found on every newsstand and weight-loss site across the internet – although not all of them work.

A Primal diet is high in animal fat, but very low in the blood-sugar spiking grains and other carbs that are typical of the modern American diet.

Essentially, it ensures your body burns fat instead of carbs for fuel. But what most keto diet plans won't tell you is that to get real results you need to do more than just cut carbs...

You need to make sure that healthy fats make up at least 70% of your calorie intake.

5 Simple Steps For Getting The Most Out Of My Primal Diet

Here's the Primal diet I recommend to my patients…

  1. Choose the right fats. Strictly avoid trans fats and vegetable oils like corn, sunflower, safflower, soy, and canola. Instead, increase your intake of healthy fats like avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, and coconut oil in your diet.

  2. Go super-low carb. Your daily requirement for carbs is zero. Start by avoiding all processed foods, especially those containing high fructose corn syrup. Also avoid grains, rice, pasta, beans, and starchy vegetables.

  3. Choose the right kind of protein. Beef, organ meats, fish, and eggs are your best sources of protein. Try to choose grass-fed beef and wild-caught fish, which are both high in healthy fats. Get eggs from pastured chicken.

  4. Stay hydrated: Increase your water intake to help manage the diuretic effect that a ketogenic diet can have, especially in the beginning stages.

  5. Move your body: Engage in my PACE workout to deplete glycogen stores and encourage the switch to fat-burning. If you want to learn some specific PACE exercises, go to my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/AlSearsMD/videos. I have more than 30 different exercises and a complete workout to help you get started.

Remember to be patient. Allow your body time to adapt. It can take several weeks for your body to become fully keto-adapted.

To Your Good Health,

Al Sears, MD, CNS
