Cheney Claims Trump Is Not Fit For Office, Is She Right?

Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), stated that President Biden will not be re-elected “one way or another.”

“Joe Biden can either step aside for another candidate or face a historic loss in a few months,” McCain posted on social platform X Friday. “But either way, he will not remain President, and his family needs to start accepting this reality, as they seem to be in a severe state of delusion.”

McCain’s comments follow a tense week for Democrats after Biden’s shaky debate performance last Thursday, where he sounded raspy and stumbled over his words. This has sparked debate among Democrats about whether he should remain the party’s candidate.

Despite this, the White House reaffirmed earlier this week that Biden is not dropping out of the race. In a fundraising email sent Wednesday, Biden stated, “I’m the Democratic Party’s nominee. No one is pushing me out. I’m not leaving, I’m in this race to the end, and WE are going to win this election. If that’s all you need to hear, pitch in a few bucks to help [Vice President Harris] and me defeat Donald Trump in November.”

In another post on X early Saturday morning, McCain criticized the fervent supporters of Biden, comparing them to Trump’s most ardent defenders. “Hysterical Biden defenders are just like the hysterical Trump defenders. This cult-like worship of our presidents is really frightening and exactly the opposite of what the founding fathers intended for this position,” she wrote. “These men aren’t kings,” McCain added.
