Former President Donald Trump has criticized the legal proceedings against him, which he terms as "Biden Trials," as election interference by the Biden administration's Justice Department and prosecutors in Democrat-majority areas like New York, Washington, D.C., and Fulton County, Georgia. Trump, who is campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination, insists these trials should not occur during his campaign, labeling them as rigged and politically motivated.
He has frequently criticized the Democrats for targeting him since his 2016 election win, likening the proceedings to the Salem witch trials. Trump also continues to highlight President Joe Biden's verbal gaffes, recently sharing a video compilation of Biden's public speaking errors. This follows controversy over a video shared by Trump showing a demeaning image of Biden. Trump's campaign has defended his actions by pointing out the violent rhetoric and actions of some Democrats against him.
