"The onset of colder weather may feel like a loss, but for those of us in committed relationships with our television, it's actually… something to look forward to."
| | | | | | I'm Spending The Entire Holiday Season on My Couch—and I'm Not Sad About It | In a year where we've already been spending a lot of time inside, the onset of colder weather is bound to make us really buckle in. For some of us, this may feel like a loss, but for those of us in committed relationships with our television, it's actually… something to look forward to. I know, I know, but hear me out: There are already so many movies and television shows I'm behind on, the excuse to stay indoors will give me plenty of time to catch up. Alongside finishing the latest season of Great British Bake Off, one thing I'm really looking forward to streaming this year is the new batch of Christmas movies being released. Along with Netflix's Dolly Parton musical Christmas on the Square, I'm excited to finally see more diverse holiday stories, like Lifetime's A Sugar & Spice Holiday, which is about a Chinese-American woman showcasing her family's holiday traditions in a cooking competition, and The Christmas House on Hallmark, the network's very first Christmas film featuring a gay couple. One thing is for sure: With my smart thermostat and portable projector, my home movie theater is set up and ready to go. Grab your warmest blanket, a bottle of wine, and a big bowl of popcorn, and put together your very own indoor media getaway with the products below.
