Spotlight on Charleston.
Last year they were flattered. This year they're tickled pink. It makes all of us a little giddy after the readers of Condé Nast recently named Charleston Top City and Top Destination in the World. Visit the Holy City to experience the Southern charm, see the beauty and taste the wonderful cuisine. You'll understand why the spotlight is on Charleston. Let it shine, let it shine!

Shining examples.
Accolades pile high for the Charleston area. Esquire magazine has named Carter's Kitchen in Mount Pleasant and The Macintosh in Charleston to the list of 20 Best New Restaurants of 2012. These two restaurants are a must-try! Consider Robert Carter's crispy okra chips with a tomato-aioli dip at Carter's Kitchen or Jeremiah Bacon's ricotta gnudi cuddled with nubbins of stone-crab meat and tomatoes at The Macintosh.

Light up the holidays.
Your holiday season will be much brighter when you visit South Carolina's holiday light festivals. You'll be dazzled by the twinkling lights as you drive through Anderson Lights of Hope. Your kids will love the magic of the winter wonderland at James Island's Holiday Festival of Lights. They can see Santa and his elves at Hollywild's Holiday Lights Safari. Click here for more holiday light festivals.
